Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, and died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television as well as voice actress. Pleshette began her stage career, and appeared in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she was in many television productions and was frequently as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978, in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish and were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
