Some of her film credits comprise The 636 (for which she was awarded Best Actress in the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. Keesha chose to go into theatre after graduating Cum Laude with the Bachelor of Fine Arts. She was in her first performance in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other theatrical performances included Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha performed alongside playwright August Wilson himself.
