Following the incident, Annie Lederman was acquainted with a number of her troublesome students involved in drug-dealing and other criminal actions. Annie Lederman, who graduated high school in 1997, aged 17 years old, spent the following year volunteering. She began by training dolphins on the island of Hawaii, and afterward, working for an organization that is non-profit and aims to assist the children who are in need of help in Central America.
