Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18, at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to continue building upon her win in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents in the first round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a an unanimous vote to remove an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a pro. InvictaFC 11 was her debut professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO during the second round. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. Also, she was awarded the bonus for performance of night. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision and the Fight of the Night award went to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie only needed 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was a unanimous decision.
