Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is well-known for her role in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is involved in the world of film and on television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in numerous shows on television as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she debuted as Ariel on stage on stage in The Tempest. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her work in Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her most well-known role is her part in ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
